In 1923, Franz Kafka, the author known for his surreal tales and profound reflections on life, walked through a park in Berlin. There, he encountered a little girl crying over a lost doll. Something about her sadness moved him. Together, they searched the park, but the doll was nowhere to be found.

The next day, Kafka asked the girl to meet him at the same park. When the doll still didn’t appear, he handed her a letter, “written” by the doll herself. It read:

"Please don’t cry. I’ve taken a trip to see the world. I will write to you about my adventures."

Thus began a story that would continue until the end of Kafka’s life. Every day, Kafka presented new letters from the doll, tales of adventures, tiny conversations, and whimsical observations that brought joy to the little girl. Finally, Kafka returned with a doll, purchased for her, though it no longer resembled the one she had lost.

"It doesn’t look like my doll at all," she said.

Kafka smiled and handed her a final letter:

"My travels have changed me."

The girl hugged the doll tightly and brought it home, heartened by the story and the gift of a new friend. A year later, Kafka passed away.

Many years later, the grown woman discovered one last hidden note inside the doll, written by Kafka himself:

"Everything you love will probably be lost, but in the end, love will return in another way."
